EMAIL MARKETING
Now this is one I do pay for – FLODESK! It is honestly hands down the best email newsletter platform I have seen in terms of design. They have absolutely beautiful templates to use, so your newsletter will look stunning! You can easily build out newsletters with your existing brand elements, colours and fonts. If you are on a limited budget at the moment then do not worry, Mailchimp has a free option you can use to start building an audience, however please note they do start charging you once your email list reaches a certain amount of people but for most of us the number is so large that it is unlikely to be an issue. I do not love the design system, it is clunky but hey it’s free!
shopify
If you have an ecommece store with more than 9 products, I would hands down recommend Shopify. I design Shopify websites for clients and the back end is so user friendly for shop owners with a bunch of integrations and features that help you grow your business. Plus it has great in built SEO!

Because I am a Shopify Partner I can design it on my platform, and transfer it to you once you are ready to launch. This saves you paying the subscription fee until you are actually live with your shop.

Ok so this is an amazing resource if you are wanting to elevate your systems and workflows, streamline a bunch of stuff in your small business and cut down on admin time.

Donald, breaks down the exact strategy for telling your story, in an easy to follow method, showing you how to write for your customers. You can try your local library (I always do this so I can read it before investing in a copy) or buy from a number of places online, Amazon have some.
photos
It really depends on your target audience as to what style of photos are going to work for your brand.
I definitely recommend getting a styled photoshoot of yourself to up level your business image and to personalise your website. Anneke Reeves Photography did my most recent photos. If you and I are working together I can help provide direction and the style of what we will need to really tell your story and attract your dream audience and we can find a sweet photographer near you.
I have several stock photo subscriptions to access excellent images at affordable rates for you to use, and I source these whilst working together.
There are also a tonne of free stock resources you can use for your social media posts and the like, Unsplash, Pexels and Pikwizard are a few to start with.
mock ups
For my designer friends, Moyo have an amazing selection of mock ups you can use to present your gorgeous designs in an elevated way.
Moyo also have a range of gorgeous feminine and elegant lifestyle photos suitable for your social media feeds and marketing materials. And if you sign up for their newsletter they send you free photos to use each month, no subscription needed!
wordpress + tools
I build websites in WordPress because it has a broad range of possibilities and can also easily scale with your business as it evolves and grows. It also allows me to hand the reigns over to you once complete so you have full ownership and aren’t locked into an expensive maintenance subscription.
To do this I use an amazing plugin called Elementor. This makes my process even more streamlined to implement my custom website designs for clients and is also user friendly if you need to update any text or images. All client websites automatically come with this plugin included as part of the website package.
There is a free version of Elementor if you want to try it out, however I have the paid upgraded version for myself and my clients called Elementor Pro. Want a hand with your website? Let me know.
WP Rocket is my favourite caching plugin, it shaves seconds off your website load time and helps optimise it many other ways. You can not go wrong with this tool! This is included in all my hosting packages, so my client’s sites are optimised beautifully.
